Why not use Twitch.tv?

Well... Good question.

I've used Twitch in the past, and it's a great platform. However both have their pro's and con's... All things considered, for me personally. The pro's outweigh the con's.

Twitch Con's
  • Ads
  • Huge delay
  • Copyright restrictions
  • Quality limitations (bitrate etc)
  • Limited overall control
  • Specifically for gaming topics
Custom Setup Pro's
  • Ad free
  • MUCH less delay
  • Complete control
  • No Copyright Police
  • No quality limitations
  • Steam non-gaming related material
  • Fun to create (for me atleast)
Custom Setup Cons's
  • Somewhat complicated to setup
  • Not free, but very low cost
  • Not as many features
